BEST EARLY GAME MOUNT

The first mount you should have at level 9 with a sprint speed of 1050, direhowl will help you explore the map in the early game, specially because the flying mounts are very slow and spend a lot of stamina in the begin of the game.
How to catch it or breed
Direhowl is not found right away in the beginner area so you will need to explore a bit.
It can be a challenge to catch it, if you are under level but if you go at night makes your life easier.
Other option is to breed, using a Tanzee and celaray is the easiest option, bout can be found at level 2,3.

BEST MID GAME MOUNT

This one will change the game for you with the same speed of the Direhowl but with a very strong double jump that will make it feel like a flying mount, no need to go around mountains this mount will jump everything very easily, also because of the size and animation will feel faster and is really satisfying to ride it.
Fenglope is also a strong Pal making it a great addition to your team.
How to catch it or breed
The weakest Fenglope in the game is actually a boss at level 25, is inside a mine ,the entrance is really is easy to find just follow the river to the end.
Breeding is another option but using the boss is always recommended if you are not looking for the passive skills.
The best way to breed it is using Lifmunk and a Penking or the Direhowl you already have with a Melpaca or mozzarina.

BEST LATE GAME MOUNT

The fastest ground mount in Palworld by far with a sprint speed of 1600 and double jump, this makes Necromus the best mount in the game, sadly you can only use it at level 49, very end game.
Only way to get it is to catch the boss
Honorable mentions
Pyron - Is faster then Fenglope but without the double jump can be slower in some situations, where you find obstacles and need to go around.
Rayhound - Also a great option very fast and has double jump, maybe better then Fenglope.
